Pastel (Francisco Diaz Scotto)

Growing up as a promising footballer in Buenos Aires, a leg injury led Pastel to begin tagging the city. After beginning his studies in architecture, "i began to look at art on the street in a different way... observing how it changed the urban environment. Human contruction results in many mistakes and 'non-places', with no identity. And in such places weeds flourish in the cracks. I found a way to immortalise this forgotten part of nature....".

In the past few years Pastel has travelled the world extensively, painting large scale murals of his 'Lethal Flora' on walls from Moscow to Puerto Rico; from Ukraine to Miami. And Brighton!
